OUR STORY
Micaelli Cabo, a passionate entrepreneur from Rio de Janeiro, graduated with a law degree and practiced as a lawyer in Brazil until 2010, when she moved to the United States with her family to start a new chapter. Upon arriving, she noticed a gap in the beauty industry — services were fragmented, making it harder for women to find quality, warmth, and convenience all in one place.
With a keen eye and a heart set on transformation, Mica dove into a new universe. In 2014, she began her studies in Cosmetology, specializing in techniques like colorimetry, and quickly stood out for her rare combination of technical excellence and emotional sensitivity. Her gift was never just about aesthetics — it was about helping women reconnect with their self-esteem and presence.
Along this path, she met Elizabeth Gadelha — first a client, then a friend, and eventually a business partner and strong supporter of Mica's dream to create something meaningful. Together, they founded MICA Salon & Spa in 2018 with a clear vision: to create a sensorial retreat that blends Brazilian warmth and soul with the structure and elegance of American life.
The name MICA carries layered meaning: not only is it a nickname for Micaelli, but it also honors the legacy of Elizabeth’s family business in Brazil — Manufatura Industrial de Cimento Armado (MICA) — a symbol of strength, heritage, and legacy.
Since then, MICA has become more than a salon — it’s a boutique experience. A space where every detail is designed to touch, welcome, and transform. Where beauty blooms from within, and each client is cared for as a whole — body, soul, energy, and presence.
Today, located in the upscale and strategic area of Katy, TX, MICA is a reference in the greater Houston region for offering not just aesthetic services, but personalized rituals that blend sensoriality, sophistication, and Brazilian identity — all delivered by a passionate bilingual team rooted in authenticity, excellence, and soulful beauty.
